Me and my profession

Know, I'm here to tell about why I decided to study and become a vet. 
First, I think this is an amazing career, and in my case, I would do it for vocation, not for other thing (some people work without dedication in their work because they aren't working in what they really want to, but sometimes they do it for the money they need).
I'm a really happy girl !!...when I was just a child, always I used to thought to become a vet when I grow up...but I also thought in others careers, like to be archaeologist and discover all the dinosaurs, or to be a doctor (of people) and discover a lot of cures for diseases, or a lawyer and help a lot of people, but the time was passing and I was discarding some careers that probably I  wouldn't enjoy all my life, and that was not what I really wanted. 
At the end, I thought that veterinary medicine would be the perfect career for me, work with animals (that I love), have the money to support myself and work with people at the same time...the veterinary medicine is the career for me!! :) 
I dont regret to being studying this, and I'm also sure that all the people who work or like animals is people of good heart.
Well, thinking on an speciality, I'm not sure what I want, but I love cats and dogs and horses, they are really interesting, so the think could be for that specific area, but I'm an open person, so we will see what my future is waiting :)

 

Welcome to my new creation

Hi ! Welcome to My Vet Blog...
My name is Selma Bobenrieth, I'm studying Veterinary Medicine at University of Chile.

First, I would like to say that I love animals (that's one of the reasons I'm studying this) and is very gratifying for me to be and work with them. I have had many cats and dogs in my house, and actually I have two cats, one is called Palomita (she is a white female) and the other one is called Manchita (she is black and white female, with a stain on her nose).
Now, give you a little of time, and enjoy this blog :)

Well as I said before, I have two adorable female cats. Im going to show you them, they are beautiful and very smart.

Know them:

--> This is Palomita, the white one

She is 6 and a half years ( she was born on september 21). My family and I really apreciate her because we saw her when she was born, in our own home. This happened when we had Palomita's mother as our pet, and one they she became pregnant, and have 6 adorable little cats ( Palomita and her 5 brothers and sisters) but unfurtunately we had to give them, there were a lot just for us! Finally we kept two, Palomita and one brother, his name was Benito, but he get lost in the streets :(  but Palomita is still with us, and we feel she is part of the family.

--> This is Manchita

I don't know which is exactly her age, because Manchita come to me like a gift, but she is like 7 - 8 months aprox. A very close friend of me gave me Manchita on october, and then she was just a month and a few days (no more than 2 months) and we decided to keep her, but was really hard because Palomita was very jealous ( she was the female cat of the house! ) but after all, she finally accepted her.
